Organic centerpiece…

If you have been by here much you know that I love to create centerpieces out of natural materials found on the property here. Now that Spring is here, I have been out gathering a few things!

But first, let me show you where I started from…

First, I had brown in mind and I wanted to use this little teapot from England my mom gave me.

I had the faux orchid in a pot, but really wanted something real. I decided to cut some Dogwood branches and put them in these floral tubes I had so wisely saved from some cut flowers.

I used things I already had then tied all the elements together with the addition of real branches. This is definitely not my usual style of centerpiece, but I am really enjoying something different. I might even create a tablescape around this later. You’ll have to come back Wednesday to see!

I’ll be joining Marty’s “Tabletop Tuesday” over at “A Stroll Thru Life” and Linda’s “Nifty Thrifty Tuesdays” over at “Coastal Charm” so be sure to stop by there!!

Thanks so much for stopping by my home tour! I met a lot of new people, and I cannot wait to get around to visit you all!!

Anita

    I love it, Anita!
Dogwoods are my favorite and I treasure their beauty for the short time we have them every year! Sometimes I create stylized arrangements for our table and sometimes I choose to do a more organic arrangement. I need to take pictures like you do!
    Have a great day!

I can only imagine the tablescape built around this centerpiece! You have me hooked on brown hull drip dishes….my home is "autumn" inspired (my favorite season) and they would work really well, especially for Thanksgiving, which I usually host. But then you also got me hooked on Hazel Atlas crinoline/ripple dishes! What's a girl to do 🙂 xo,

What a great idea, Anita! This looks so pretty and I think suits the whole vignette. I have some Kousa Dogwood trees in my yard {nothing is doing anything yet here though}. I love seeing them in bloom, so why not bring them inside!

    Very pretty, Anita!
It's great to recycle the water tubes … they come in handy when putting together something special like this.
    So lovely and delicate…
It even has an Asian flair to it!
*I hope you are having a wonderful week*
    Blessings to you ~

Gorgeous gorgeous!!~ My friend just made these pretty moss balls all from the woods. She bought the ball and covered it with real moss, sticks, nuts…you would love it Anita, and could so make one with all the beauty you have around there.
