Autumn in Western North Carolina…

I wanted to share these photos with everyone of beautiful Western North Carolina! I am so thankful to experience the incredible beauty here…especially this time of year!

These are from the Blue Ridge Parkway this morning heading toward Water Rock Knob near Balsam Gap. WLOS TV used this photo on the news at 6 tonight!

Looking over Cherokee and into Tennessee…

The next several photos are near our house. We take a lot of photos from this spot!

This double rainbow was over our house Thursday evening!

More Blue Ridge Parkway…

And finally, we are home!!

Pardon the brush pile, but that’s how it is when you live in the woods!

It is amazing to see how quickly the color changes from day to day so I try to capture as much as I can. I LOVE this time of year so much and it goes by so fast! What does that tell me?? To live every moment to the fullest!

I’ll be linking up toInspiration Friday!

Enjoy this wonderful weekend!!

Anita

Anita, gracias por mostrarnos estas bellezas de tu país, yo soy de Costa Rica y por acá no puedo tener otoño, aunque a finales del invierno cuando va a entrar el verano las hojitas de los árboles caen y pareciera que nos llega un poco. Muchas gracias

The colors and textures in your photos are amazing! I love the warm oranges accented by the frost against the crisp Autumn blue sky.

Western N. Carolina is beautiful. I am further south and we have not had frost yet. It is pretty and the colder weather is why your leaves are so pretty too. I always have a pile of limbs too. When you have trees it is year round. I am saddened many of the trees in my back yard and natural areas on both sides of my house are experiencing die back and are losing limbs and finally dying. It is going to change my hydrangea and camellia garden but it hasn't fully happened yet so I should not worry about it yet.

I love rainbows and sunsets. Your photos are stunning and I enjoyed them.

Anita–I love your pictures! I was a newlywed in Tennessee (40 years ago) before moving to CA. There is no place more beautiful. I live in an old log cabin on the shore of Flathead Lake in MT right now . . . and it is equally as beautiful, but so different. I have been "peeking" at your site for weeks. I love dishes and beautiful tables, and yours are breathtaking! I've never joined a blog before, so I guess that makes me a newbie:)

You captured it so beautifully! I can say without trying to give vain glory that Western NC is one of the prettiest parts of the US that I have visited.
