Autumn Reds…

I just love the end of the “leaf” season because all the colors left become so vibrant it is surreal.

I recreated a table I did a couple years ago with Japanese Maple leaves, HERE, but this time with mostly red oak and maple leaves.

These leaves are so breathtaking in person and sunlight just makes them even more vibrant!

I used a creamy matelasse runner with a paisley runner on top. I love using a double runner. It really adds texture and interest.

I used Mikasa “Italian Countryside” dinner plates and flatware, with a Walmart salad plate from several years ago. I actually bought the plates to put candles in then thought they would be great salad plates. Several people have asked me about them, and they are still available at Walmart but there is no guarantee about color. I have not been able to find them anywhere online except Pottery Barn and they were much more expensive.

I have used a red Noritake “Perspective” wine glass, and a Pier 1 amber water glass. My mother graciously gifted me with 12 4-piece place settings of the Noritake.

The rattan charger is another Walmart special that I use frequently…

These napkins were purchased from Walmart a couple years ago, and are paired with the same BBB bamboo napkin rings I use all the time. I like them:-)

A closer look at the red plate…

I love this fabric…

I took this shot before I realized I needed the red glasses.

In case you didn’t notice, always one to buck trends, I painted the french door wall with the same red as the rest of the dining area. I love this color, Kilz Red Fox, so much and it makes the white doors seem like they belong. I  really like the red with the drop cloth window panels too.

I hope you enjoyed my fall reds! I love the organic and natural elements of this table so much.

I’ll be joining:

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great weekend!!

OOh, Anita, I LOVE this. I love the organic use of beautiful fall leaves with the vintage and new pieces in your collections. Beautiful. I'm on the hunt for vintage glassware. Yours is really pretty. I love how the glass beads in your candle holders compliment the glassware and natural colors of fall.

This is another gorgeous autumn table! I love the reds, and if we had such beautiful foliage around here, I would want them all over my house.

I love the table, especially with the red glasses, and the double runner does add even more texture. I want to make a matelasse runner for my dining room because that looks so lovely.

I know I've said it before, but your tables are always the perfect combination of warmth and class.

Anita, just love the gorgeous elegant but rustic touches table top. The red goblets are my favorite and something that looks inherited. I have one green leaf plate from years ago and been checking Walmart for others, they are redoing ours and and in turmoil, the table against your dishes is wonderful.I will have to copy this setting…thank you for all your uplifting inspiration.

So that is what fall looks like in your part of the country…sure not that pretty here on the prairie! Those leaves remind me of growing up in New England…so vibrant in their color. Beautiful red and gold table, Anita. I think I have told you at least a dozen times how much I like those candle holders…I drool every time I see them!

Anita, I haven't been able to look at many tables over the last few months but yours are always among my favorites. This one is no exception. The gorgeous leaves set the tone for everything. The colors and textures are so rich. I always admire your table itself. Its texture and beauty provide the perfect backdrop for this lovely tablescape. Happy Fall!

Thank you–the one thing missing from fall in Colorado is the red I grew up with on the east coast! Your table is gorgeous! Funny how much of a difference the addition of the red glasses made. I am always adding and trading out elements as I take photos. Great idea about doubling up on runners. Your dishes are beautiful!

Hi, Anita. Thank you for visiting my blog and commenting on my blue and brown Thanksgiving dress rehearsal–your comment brought me to your fabulous blog. I'm your newest follower; I hope you'll follow me too, so we can stay connected! I love this table. I love the layered runners, the reds, and the colors of the two goblets–they are the perfect shades to stay in "fall" without going orange. Lovely.
