Christmas Dining

Hi everyone!

I wanted to share my Christmas dining area with you.

Still using the box, I just added some aqua and green Shiny Brite ornaments to the pink ones I already had in it.

I’m using Mikasa “Italian Countryside” service plates, J & G Meakin “Romantic England” dinner plates, and Johnson Brothers “Old Britain Castles” salad plates all on a silver plated charger.

Fostoria pink “Moonstone” goblets with Fostoria “Argus” cordials in green compliment the pink and green in the plates.

Taffeta napkins that I made are in mother of pearl napkin rings. Antique sterling silver, “Louvre” by Wallace and Sons.

My dad and I cut the little Hemlock from the woods, which I placed in an antique galvanized bucket. The redwood bench was my grandmother’s and went with her outdoor picnic table.

I made little snowflakes and paper fans from old music to hang on the delicate branches. A star Cristian made last year at school tops off my country tree.

I tied up boxwood, balsam and cedar branches with pink tulle for the back of each chair and in the chandelier.

So that is our dining area for this Christmas! I used lots of things I had and plenty of natural, outdoor elements. As always, I so appreciate your stopping by:-)

Carman, thank you:-) We will eat Christmas dinner here, with a couple more place settings if my brother is not here. Then, we will have a dinner with his family at my mom's whenever he gets to come.

Anita, this is really lovely. I love the pink Fostoria glasses combined with the green goblets. Love the salad plates too. The little tree is such a nice touch, as well as the box centerpiece. I am always going to gussy up my chairs, but never do. Yours and the trimmings on your chandelier make your dining area so festive. Joni

Anita, this is absolutely one of the most beautiful table settings I've ever seen. It's so peaceful, yet rustic and beautiful. The little tree in the bucket is so pretty and I love what you did with the chandy and I hope you show us a more close up photo of it. I'd love to do something similar for my table. As always, your home is so warm and inviting. Have a blessed Christmas.

Your dining room is beautiful…so is your table. It is fun waiting to see how you will dress your centerpiece each season. I recently found that same Moonstone stemware, almost passed on it…glad that I didn't now that I have seen it on a table.

My favorite thing about your tables is always the way you use natural and rustic elements with more formal ones to create such a beautiful combination. I especially love your centerpiece on this one and the gorgeous stemware. Just lovely.

And I came here earlier and read all the way down to your O Holy Night post. I clicked to listen to it and WOW. What a blessing your voice is. I just love it. I got a phone call before I could tell you then, and then… well, you know how it is. Just wanted to tell you now.

Oh, gosh, Anita….beautiful!!! I love the lighting fixture treatment!!!! That is just amazingly beautiful! It has such a soft, almost ethereal look about it! The table is gorgeous, too, with the fabulous box of goodies gracing the center. I LOVE those pink Moonstone glasses!!!!!!!!! They are fantabulous!! I am bowled over that you and your Dad got the little bush from the woods and it looks so good in that bucket!!! My parents are surrounded by lots and lots of woods, and they have lots of those little bushes way down back on their property. I never thought to bring one in! Lovely!
