A Bride’s table…

My mother recently styled a bride’s table for 12 at a wedding in Tennessee. She did such a fabulous job, I wanted to share! She pooled things from both of our collections and chose the 1921 Noritake “Condoro” porcelain on vintage Irish linen placemats, vintage lace napkins and Durand Cristal D’Arques “Longchamp” crystal glassware.

The bride chose the yellow, so my mother brought in yards and yards of white tulle and lace then accented the 24 ft table with yellow roses.

Seriously, 24 feet long! Someone from the church there built the platform.

The bride and her mother chose the chair covers and tied bows of yellow tulle around each one.

Each place setting had a bouquet of yellow roses, daisies and baby’s breath in a silver punch cup. This is a lovely idea we use a lot…fit a square of oasis into each cup, add water, then cut flowers and greenery. The place cards are attached with ribbon to a toothpick which is hidden in the flowers.

Two antique sterling silver candelabras graced the table as well as four single sterling candle holders.

Punch was served from my mother’s antique Towle punch bowl. She used more of my silver punch cups, Roma SL Madrid from Spain because she liked the pedestal cups, and I have 24.

She really did such a fabulous job. I know *exactly* how much work goes into something like this, so I’m just not sure how she pulled it off. Everything was cleaned and polished here, then packed and taken to Tennessee where she spent an entire day putting it together. Didn’t she do a great job? People will be calling her to do their weddings now!

Thanks for stopping by!

Anita

Breathtaking! What a lucky bride to have your mom do this!! So pretty! Love the individual bouquets with placecards attached. I can only imagine how much work this was! Coming up with the décor ideas, polishing/cleaning items, laundering/ironing linens, packing it all up, setting it all up, last minute tweaking and then taking it home and putting it all away along with the laundry – exhausting! I know because I have done it! Please pass on my appreciation to your mom! Thanks for sharing.

OK, you're mother is just flat out awesome. She can make biscuits like a country girl and set a table better than the most citified one. Just beautiful, Anita, from start to finish!!

You and your mother created a fabulous bridal table. The silver punch cups are so versatile as vases in the center of each place setting. I love your punch bowl and cups. Have a great week!
