Mountain sunsets and photography

My husband has enjoyed capturing the beautiful sunsets we have here in the mountains…

His photos have become quite popular on my facebook page, and have been featured at Blue Ridge Parkway Daily.

…and a few morning shots too.

I had to try my hand at sunset photography. My ISO was set at 100, the shutter speed was 20 sec at f/11, with a Canon Rebel T3 on a tripod.

Luis used a Nikon D5100 with a Nikkor 200mm lens as well as the stock 18-55mm lens.

I edit in Adobe Lightroom 3.6, because my old imac will not support LR5, and he uses LR5 and On One Perfect Photo Suite.

We really are loving exploiting our basic cameras to get all we can out of them:-)

Stunning shots. They really portray the glory of God. I'm following your blog via Bloglovin'. I wanted to say how much I admire your decorating style, and the beautiful home you've created. It is one of a kind, and so special. It's so apparent that your home is filled with love, Anita. The recognition you've received by being featured in Country Woman, and other publications, is well deserved. I've enjoyed reading your story, and look forward to more great posts. Blessings, Nancy @ A Joyful Cottage.
