Laundry, smoothies and little things

I kind of felt like y’all might want a break from my pink summer decorating, so laundry was at the top of my list of random things to share:-) Well, not really, but at least it’s something different.

I received a wonderful package in the mail this week with some gorgeous new bed linens I can’t wait to share. But first, they are getting a wash and line dry. I really love Mrs. Meyer’s “Lemon Verbena” laundry detergent, but because it’s not cheap, I only use it on linens, or other special things.

In the summer I always line dry my sheets because I love how they smell so fresh and clean, plus it’s so much greener than using the dryer.

While I’m waiting for the sheets to dry, I can whip up a seriously healthy smoothie to enjoy out on the back porch.

This one is made from frozen blueberries, blackberries, peaches, mango, raspberries, sunflower seeds, half a banana and unsweetened almond/coconut milk. It is so yummy, and I can alter the fruit with whatever I have on hand.

In the meantime, if anyone needs me, I’ll be right here:-)

Enjoy your day and all the *little* things — which really are the big things.

A perfect summer day activity. I love sheets hung on the line. That soap sounds wonderfully old-fashioned. I'm Canadian, so not sure they sell it here. Will have to keep it on my list when I cross over. I recently did a post on Laundry day too. Have a wonderful weekend! Diane

HI Diane, thanks for stopping by!! I actually learned about this soap from a Canadian blogger, and I ordered mine from Luckyvitamin.com, so maybe try their web site. It is so lovely and the scent is to die for:-)

Anita, your smoothie looks sooooo good; and I am sure that it is even more delicious, while it's being enjoyed on your lovely porch! I bought the Lemon Verbena Laundry detergent a few months ago at Whole Foods. Love the scent; and like you, I only use it on linens, for a fresh, clean scent!
