Another beautiful rug

You all know how much I love a pretty rug, so when Rugs USA offered to send me one, I could not refuse.

So, knowing me, what do you think I chose?

Loving pink as I do, I fell in love with the Chroma Rug, knowing it would be perfect for my living area.

But, since I already have a pink overdyed rug I bought from Rugs USA last spring, I thought I might go the opposite direction and try this Beaumont VI18 Vintage Embellished Rug. I have a small version of this rug, and I love that it really looks and feels like an authentic silk rug.

But, I decided to choose something in the middle, and picked the hand-tufted Berber Moroccan Diamond  rug.

Oh my goodness, I love this rug:-) I wanted wool, color, and something tribal-inspired, and this could not be more perfect.

The berber wool has this amazing moroccan pattern woven into it, and some of the pattern is in viscose, which feels like silk.

The texture is just beautiful and so very plush.

I have to say my 9 year old loves it, and I found him just sitting on the floor checking out the different patterns and fibers.

I love the pattern, and also appreciate that the history of these patterns and motifs goes back to prehistoric forms of rock art and cave paintings — much like Native American art.

Because this is a 5 x 8, I layered it on the jute rug I already had so all my furniture is anchored. Rug layering is something I learned in the late 1990s after seeing some Saudi Arabian Air Force friends doing it at an event. It’s such a great way to make a smaller rug not float and work with your furniture layout, plus gives you tons of options.

I was actually unsure about my bold choice when I first rolled this rug out, but my husband loved it, and once I got it down I knew it was perfect. It really is just another testament to stepping outside the box and taking a chance.  This rug has so many possibilities as far as color and style, and I love something with versatility. But mostly, I just *love* it:-)

I have bought several rugs from Rugs USA in the past and have taken advantage of their many sales and free shipping, and could not recommend them more highly.

You can also find great deals at Rugs USA  on Facebook, so please check them out for a good deal on a great product.

Hi Anita! Oh, I love your new rug and all of the colors! Yay for you. I had to giggle seeing the Tonka truck and blocks on your rug. That's what my den looks like all the time with my little grandchildren. 🙂 Hope you're doing well.
    Be a sweetie,
    Shelia 😉

My first thought when I saw this was that it was similar to Native American art! Absolutely beautiful, I love it!
