Simple farmhouse fall porch

Simple. I didn’t go all out with corn stalks or mums and pumpkins like I usually do, but just added a few fall touches to the front porch.

Fall was really late here as we just got an explosion of color last week, so I’m not rushing this and just plan to enjoy the beauty while it lasts — which won’t be too long with severe storms, rain and wind on the way.

I moved this iron settee out here after I discovered the wooden rockers I had here were full of termites. I was so upset.

I added a new bow from ripped fabric like my grandmother would have done to the grapevine wreath I made several years ago.

The Indian sari I bought last spring to make cushion covers out of was still perfect here for fall and had just the right colors.

The views all around are so wonderful, but looking across the creek is just magic. I think it’s pretty obvious what my favorite colors are and why. I just can’t get enough of this.

This was about the extent of it with a few pumpkins  and gourds I bought for my fall tour, and some free mums from one of the farms I visited.

And that was that for this year😊

I am thinking Thanksgiving now and cannot wait to show you my Thanksgiving table along with 18 other bloggers. I’ll share that on Wednesday, so be sure to come back!

In the meantime, here are more fall porch ideas for you.

Your home and its location is so lovely. What on earth do you do with all of your outdoor furniture, cushions, etc in the winter? Most of us do not have storage for major decor items, so we hesitate to makes things as pretty or interesting as we would like.

Thanks Pat. I have zero storage. My outdoor furniture stays out year round. The cushions are outdoor fabric, or treated for outdoor. I have some slipcovers I change out, but they fold small and I have a small plastic bin for that. I don't have bins of decor like most bloggers at all. I use fresh produce, which gets composted and everything else stays out.
