Loved, loved watching this video of your beautiful mom. Thanks for sharing Anita. Sure brought back similar memories of growing up around the same time your mom did. Wish I had retained the knowledge of canning that my mom taught me when I had to help her each summer.

You will never know how much I enjoyed that video. Tell Ila she needs to publish a canning recipe book. The two of you together could cover everything. You are very lucky to live so close to your parents! Please make another video with Ila. She can continue on with her life.. This brought back many good memories!

Oh my ! Your mother is a lovely womanā€¦ Im 58 and still I ache for that kind of a mother ā€¦i could listen to her all day ā€¦would of loved to hear the two of you singingā€¦.bless you for showcasing your precious mother and your relationship with her ā€¦many of us that desire ā€œ home and hearth ā€œ lack that relationship in our lives ā€¦ hence i think you have a ministry at your beautiful homestead sharing your relationship with usā€¦..how you managed lifeā€™s ups & downs and maintain the joyful heart you both exude ā€¦yes a portion of all you do may be a fade for some ā€¦but for others its just away to matter and connect to a more arduous ā€œeasyā€ life ā€¦.and be dialed in to something ā€¦.anythingā€¦..that can bless our families and othersā€¦..either by setting a pretty table, making a new recipe, decorating our home or sending snail mail to a friendā€¦ā€just becuzā€ā€¦.life is too precious to be wasteful! You bring additional beauty in our days and inspire us to ā€œcarry onā€ā€¦and create a loving environment for those that matter to usā€¦and sometimes the loveliness is just for ourselves ā€¦becuz we need the beauty, emotion, refinement, style, etcā€¦..for our own person to be all God created us to beā€¦.
At our home, we have Family Coffee Time in the morning that my husband preparesā€¦but each afternoon I & puppy/hubby when homeā€¦have Teatime with lovely china and accoutrements to embellish our day with a tad of elegance ! Home & hearth enriches our souls so we can share His Love with the outside world. Thank you for allowing us to peer thru your windows ā€¦having a seat at your kitchen table and see how youā€™re living this blessed life in the mist of lifeā€™s challengesā€¦.and yes some of those never-ending garden weeds & bountiful harvest! May God continue to bless your family & rich heritage!!! Never stop sharing ā€¦.youā€™re meeting more needs than just the ā€œessence of canning!ā€ In Earnest, Lady Sam

Beautiful! Loved sitting at your kitchen table and listening to your Mothers stories from the past. Have memories of big washtubs filled with vegetables canning Chow Chow! Looking forward to more Mom wisdom! Blessings to you both!

Anita thank you so very much for sharing your momma with us. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to her and hearing her stories. I often say I would give anything for five more minutes at the kitchen table with my Mom. You are a wise woman to grab these previous times.

I loved the conversation with your mother. I had to laugh, I havenā€™t heard the term ā€˜light breadā€™ in years! But that is what it was called. When I was a kid I had no idea you could buy vegetables in cans from a store. It was great to hear all the things that the family faced. The conversation brought back memories I havenā€™t thought of in years. Tell your mother she is the youngest 80 year old Iā€™ve seen.
    Thanks for the memories.
