I was just kidding about the snow, now I'm SERIOUS!!!

We are really getting it here in Western NC and have enjoyed this day with the children so much. The power went off for about 10 minutes, but thankfully came back on. Thought I would share a few more photos...

We are happy to be here safe and sound, so please say a prayer for those out working in this weather; power crews, police, firefighters, EMS, etc., who are keeping us all safe. And please say a prayer for all our troops who are away from home making all this possible for us to enjoy in PEACE:-)  Anita

  1. Wow! You must be an hour or so west of me. We're just above the cut-off line for the storm, and received several inches of snow too, but not as much as you. The kids were excited to get out of school at 10 a.m. Charlotte has mostly rain, but the roads are terrible here. Your porch is gorgeous! And so is the wreath. I've misplaced mine this year, (how in the world can you lose a wreath???), so I'm having to enjoy everyone else's! Have fun in the snow!

  2. Anita! It's a veritable winter wonderland. BEAUTIFUL!

    Stay warm and safe...

    Sheila :-)

  3. That looks so pretty. The only white fluffy stuff we will see this year is on the beach. My kids are missing the snow so much.
I have had so many Google problems-and it isn't over-Google has no idea how to solve the problem.
Sorry I haven't been by much-I decided after weeks and weeks of non-stop Google issues, I am throwing my hands up and making much needed visits.
I hope you have a Very Merry Christmas and hope you can come by for a visit.

  4. Oh how gorgeous!!! Thanks for sharing those pics!!! Love your porch!!! Happy Holidays!

  5. The snow is so pretty. However I dont like the cold.

  6. Anita, the snow is so pretty you have my prayer
as well the troops they always in my preyer.
I never see the snow I live in Miami, today was
64 all day bery nice weather.
    Merry Christmas!...

  7. It looks so pretty but I hope your choir guests can get out tomorrow to come to your lovely home but I don't think you are suppose to get as much as Boston and Philly and NY thankfully. Stay warm and safe.

  8. Picture perfect! We have lived so many places, but while growing up in central New York, this is the picture of Christmas I remember. The storm hasn't reached us yet, but soon, I believe.

Thanks SO much for stopping by my blog, and prayers sent for the wonderful people who risk the comfort of their home for my family and me. Great reminder.

  9. Thanks for linking up, Anita! Your porch looks fantastic. My hubby just finished clearing the driveway and has left for work. I'm also praying that he gets there safely.

  10. You really did get a lot of snow. Wish I was there. I am like a big kid when it comes to snow. I wish it had come a couple hours south of you, but of course all we had was rain. Maybe we will luck up and get snow this year. Looks like you got several inches. Stay warm...Kim

  11. We got 30 inches here on Long Island..waaaaayyy tooo much!
And now they say again on Fri!
