Farmhouse Christmas Porch

Hello friends! I wanted to share one more post before Christmas is over, and I’ve saved the front porch for last:-)

I do pretty much the same thing on the porch every year, and this year is no different.

I added boxwood and Mountain Fire Pieris to the faux wreathes I’ve had for years, and love that it helps them look full and real. I made all the bows from strips of fabric then added red ribbons. I just store these every year and have used these since about 2017. I just love the country, homespun look.

I added a check ribbon to the railroad lantern and hung up my first ice skates.

The red pillows are outdoor pillows I got at Walmart years ago when they were $5, and they’re perfect for Christmas. I made the green gingham cover.

Granddaddy’s sled, my brother’s fire truck and daddy’s old skates are remnants from Christmas past.

All the garland was given to me years ago, and as much as I’d love to have fresh garlands, they’re not remotely in the budget for the amount I’d need to wrap around all three sides, so these are fine to hide the wires on the lights.

I always make large swags of fresh evergreens for the front and add more bows I made.

At night, the porch has a lovely glow from lanterns and strings of lights.

That is it for the front porch! My husband and kids love seeing the porch lit up, so even though only my parents and a couple neighbors can see the lights, we enjoy them and they make the dark nights so cozy and welcoming:-)

Be sure to head over to my channel to see the video as well as the other two Christmas videos if you missed them. Thanks so much for supporting my channel and little blog this year friends! I hope you have a blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year!!
