Hi everyone! I was hoping for snow to shoot these photos, but the forecast didn’t materialize, so here we are🙂
I don’t really change things at all on the porch – I use basically the same decor every year unless something breaks or is damaged, and this year was no different.

I made these stockings years ago out of ticking and a flannel shirt and sweater I bought at a thrift store. I trimmed them out with some eyelet lace and burlap ribbon. The old railroad lantern is one of a pair that I found here on the property.

I believe this little truck was a Christmas gift for my brother when we were little, and it sits on granddaddy’s handmade sled. He used the sled to deliver groceries from his store when there was snow on the ground.

I’ve had these same wreathes for years as well, and I sometimes add fresh greenery but honestly didn’t feel like it was worth all the effort this year😆 I added ribbon and cut strips of gingham for bows.

I tied a scarf I had to the rustic grapevine wreath I made many years ago.

I made this toile pillow cover years ago and used it in the summer as well. I like things that can be used and interchanged throughout the seasons.

Granddaddy’s lantern and a wagon wheel hub filled with magnolia branches sit on an iron garden table Luis made a wood top for years ago.

I got this little hemlock out of the woods, and adorned it simply with a gingham ribbon.

I always tie the same gingham strips of fabric around the lights as well.

I used scarves I had to make the bows for the ends of the railings and made swags from Balsam branches and white pine.

It definitely doesn’t look like it would in the snow, but it’s such a cozy, festive porch for Christmas, and I didn’t spend any money🙂 That’s a win in my book😊
There’s a video on my channel so be sure to check that out!
Thanks for stopping by friends❤️

Thank you so very much🙂 Merry Christmas to you as well!!
Your place is lovely and your vintage items are so precious, especially love the sled. The stockings too! It is a lot of work decorating for Christmas but I just love it. I love digging through the crates and finding an ornament from past Christmases. It’s the only magical time we have. I don’t do it all at once – here and there and then change it up and then my son cones along and does the same. The place is a mess for about a week. The wrapping station is on the pool table. Beautiful home decor!
